come away with me
So this is the last post that I’ll be doing using this WordPress blog. I’m a little nervous about moving over to Blogspot because I’ve grown so accustomed to the extremely user-friendly features of WordPress. But I’ve given it quite a bit of thought and I’d like to have a new layout for my blog. I’ll definitely miss using WordPress though because it’s got all these horribly addictive features such as the seemingly innocuous ‘Blog Stats’ that shows you how many readers have visited each day/ the websites people are coming from/ where people are going to from this site/ the most popular posts etc… which is so so so addictive! I remember at the start I couldn’t stop myself from checking every hour on the hour X) (Don’t learn from me kids.) Now perhaps I’ll be able to use that time more productively.
Thanks very much for reading my blog all this while and for the encouragement you’ve given me! It’s been a crazy experience for me — running around trying to find nice backgrounds for outfit shots, creeping around the house trying to take shots unnoticed by my family (which failed eventually), staying up till the wee hours of the morning blog hopping and checking out the latest collections… and I’m not ready to let it go.
Being the procrastinator that I am, I’m pretty sure you know how long it’ll take for me to transfer all the links over
but rest assured that I’ll do so! Hope you guys won’t mind changing my link on your blogs.
So with that, hope to see you at the new blog! Much love <3
Tis Serendipity
H&M spring 2009 lookbook
Even though I haven’t even seen photos from the much hyped Commes des Garcon for H&M collection (which I plan to look through eventually sometime this week), I happened to come across the lookbook for the Spring 2009 collection. Lots of impressive designs with a play on proportions (huge tops/coats cinched in at the waist) and mixing of classic flowy feminine items with more masculine streamlined ones (poufy dress with fitted men’s blazer). Susie Bubble recented posted on tiered dresses and knitwearand it seems like there might be a shift in trend towards tiered tops and dresses in days to come. Not that I’d mind. =) I find it such dresses to have a rather girly, feminine feel to them…though they should be worn in moderation. I happen to have a lovely tiered dress which I got from H&M when I was there for a holiday a few months back but have never gone round to wearing it because it’s a little dressy for daily wear. Looks like it’s time to take it out of the closet…

This week is a really relaxing week for me academically since the Dean’s Office happened to be extremely (and rarely) kind in giving us only a few practical slots to go to school for throughout the week. Unfortunately I feel compelled to stay at home to attempt some studying because I’ve got a sinking feeling the rest of my class is hard at work already (as medical students should be ;p). However I can’t seem to focus very much and my eyes keep drifting to the laptop screen in search for more collections or ideas for blog posts. Does anyone else feel that blogging/blog surfing is an obession, really? I could spend indefinite hours reading blogs and then linking to other blogs and fashion/photography sites and before I know it half the day is over with my textbook still at the same page.
This is sheer indulgence…!
